SINNER'S HEAVEN(3)

 

It was a cold night in December, some seven months ago, when Anita received a disturbing phone call from Uncle #Jacob(Chairman), asking why her husband was seeking another employment in the UK. 

"What is going on, is there a problem with the company in Nigeria?", he asked. "His job application is right before me, as we speak". The man added. 

She felt a whirlwind in her head, she didn't know where this nausea was coming from... "Audu moving to London kuma?", she thought. 🤔

"Uncle, I am honestly unaware", she said, drying her soapy hands on the flowery apron she had on. She was washing the dinner dishes in the kitchen when he called. Audu was on his phone as usual... Chatting and smiling at the brightness of the screen. 

She sat down on the kitchen stool and took in everything Uncle Jacob said. In the end, they both agreed to keep it between them, as she was sure her husband will mention it one day.... Well, he didn't. 🙄

Months passed, and Audu didn't mention a thing. Life went on as if nothing was brewing in the dark. 

On a fateful Saturday afternoon, Audu decided to take his wife out for a treat. He actually wanted to go watch Manchester United play Liverpool FC in the EPL. ⚽

He knew she loved Xaxa's Yogurt like crazy, so he drove straight to Xaxa's Shawarma & Grills, beside House 43, Gana Street, Maitama. Her face lit up immediately after she saw the neon signage. "Oh Zaaahhzzaahhssss" she exclaimed happily. 😁

 

They had fun arguing about football, murdered two plates of the signature Haraya Chicken Wings and destroyed a big bowl of frozen yogurt with chocolate topping. "How won't you be like this?", Audu murmured under his breath as he helped pull her up to leave. 

She was just going through the selfies they'd taken on his phone when it vibrated in her hand... A message notification flashed on top of the screen. "We miss you too darling", was the message. She saw it. He didn't notice. She just exited the Gallery and handed him the phone. 

She had always felt this sense of infidelity in their marriage but was always scared to voice it. Men always throw tantrums when faced with such topics. But the "we" in the message was what got her really worried. 

Jennifer is the kind of person you need when you want a private investigator. It was Jennifer who advised Anita to lay low and let her do the findings on what was happening behind the scene. Jennifer took this matter on her head as though it were her own husband. 😂😂

Uncle Jacob only worked with Jennifer on this plan to circumcise Audu for the second time. Audu had never met #Yakubu's first wife. Yakubu is Anita's older brother, he's been married four times to three white women and one Nigerian lady. Lizzy was his first unsuccessful marriage. Yes, the brown-toothed Lizzy. 

So when Amina asked Chairman to help look for a flat in the Chelsea area of London for her brother, the game was on. 

Side chics don't ask questions, Amina didn't know Uncle Jacob had any connection to Anita, because the man had lived all his life in the UK, and does not use the same surname as Anita's dad. 

So Chairman and Jennifer arranged for Yakubu's empty flat, and Lizzy had already been debriefed.

"Congratulations Mr. Audu, I am pleased to inform you that you've been hired. Your CV stood out amongst the others we received, and your interview showed a man who has a lot to offer our new office in Nigeria". 😲

"Nige.. wetin?" Audu thought he heard Nicaragua 😂😂

"The company had secured the license to a new oil well in Bonny Island, off the coast of Port Harcourt. We're opening a new Station there, and needed someone who knew the terrain well, seeing that you did your NYSC in the Niger Delta, kind of informed our decision to give you the job". The Chairman added. 🙆‍♂️🙆‍♂️

He tried to pretend he didn't hear the part where the Chairman also mentioned that Anita will be heading all Nigeria Operations, upon her father's desire to step aside due to health challenges. 

Anita looked completely calm, mature, different, and maintained a professional posture of an Executive. There's something in her eyes that seemed to be saying, "Welcome back darling, you're dead".

For the past seven months, Anita had to do some soul-searching. She knew her happiness didn't depend on any man, and since she's always provided for herself, she decided to focus on herself and her kids. She also told the dad about her plans to register an NGO and make herself useful by touching lives, instead of sitting around and wishing for attention and affection. 

Finally, she decided that Audu was not worth her anger. Divorce papers were already waiting in his new PH office. She had also converted his former garage into a gym. She's woken up finally, thanks to the man who almost became a partner in her dad's business empire.

Doris later heard everything that transpired and left Audu also. 

Amina is still trying to explain to Audu that she didn't know it was a trap. 🤷‍

Chairman could not tell anybody the source of his information. His wife could use his balls for earrings if she knew about Amina. 😂

Anita hired Doris to run the London office of her new NGO. 

Audu tested positive for HIV, and reports directly to ex-wife Anita, now. 

Anita will tell her kids about the divorce when they are older. 

#NB. 

1. How many wives would keep their cool after knowing everything Anita knew? 

2. Do not settle with someone whom you're not really into. 

3. Not everything that glitters is gold. 

4. Marriage is not a MUST. If it doesn't happen, don't force it. 

5. Don't lie, don't cheat, if you're unhappy, just leave.
